Bowens bush was a great place to base ourselves for our stay in Mahia. The beach was just a short walk away and the township a 15 minute drive. Weather wasn't flash the first couple of days but Arthur was a very accommodating host and a genuine bloke. The house was well enough appointed and had all you need for a get away holiday. We really enjoyed our stay at Bowens

The weather was awful Nigel, and it still is. Cold squally southerlies and horrible showers driving in. I'm sorry for all the campers. Thank you for your comments. Should you come back I'll drive you out to where some of our local walks start, if the weather is fine.

Thanks for a lovely Easter weekend away. The house was a perfect size and equipped with everything we needed. A serene and private setting while being within walking distance to the beach. Arthur was a great host and very generous. Fortunately we weren't deterred by the windy/rainy weather! Highly recommend a stay here.
