We unfortunately had a very mixed experience with our stay here. The property itself was great! The view is lovely, the place was very clean with spacious and comfortable bedrooms. The only downside being the small kitchen which is clearly mentioned. The host was initially lovely and very obliging, providing helpful information when asked and making sure we knew how to get to the place. We had a couple of lights that weren't working on the first day and they were promptly fixed. Unfortunately that was the only pleasant experience we had with the host who ended up being quite unpleasant and said things that really upset some people in our group. On the day that we were leaving our host came down and told us we had been extremely noisy and were the worst group that she had ever had stay there. There had been no communication from the host about excessive noise during our stay apart from one very passive aggressive visit to address some 'very loud banging' where the 1 year old with us had been opening and closing a cupboard while we were getting ready to go somewhere. We apologised for this and made sure to keep her away from cupboards for the rest of the stay. The only other instances of loud noise we could think of would be when a bathroom door got slammed shut by the wind a couple of times early in our stay due to leaving the window open, which we were careful to avoid afterwards. Apart from that we were out for a lot of our stay and well within reasonable noise levels while we were in. There was no elaboration on what our host considered 'extremely noisy' apart from again mentioning the 'very loud banging'. It was a very sad way to end an otherwise lovely stay. Overall the place itself is very lovely but a little bit more grace and communication from the host if there is something bothering them wouldn't go amiss.

Excellent location, great views, spacious and very suitable for our needs. This was our second stay and we will look forward to another stay in the future.

Lovely apartment - great hosts - and we loved it up here. Left in time to not be impacted by weather bomb with Red warnings and checked in on hosts after as sounded scary - seems they and the home are fine! Loved our stay and plenty of room - would love to bring partner and stay next time we are up in Nelson!
