What an awesome cottage, which is perfectly situated in Medlands Beach allowing you to explore all ends of the island easily. We loved the location in the bush, the view down to the beach and across to the main mountain range, as well as the many birds around the property. The outdoor day bed is perfect to relax under the veranda during the day or when watching the amazing sky once the stars are up. The cottage is very comfortable for a couple or small family and has a great indoor / outdoor flow due to the many sliding doors opening the cottage from three sides. The outdoor shower with a view into the bush above the cottage is another bonus. Don't miss the walks to Station Rock, the Hot Springs and along Windy Canyon up to the peak of Mt Hirakimata. Trips to the local Aotea brewery or the Irish Pub in Tryphena will be a welcome stop on the way home after the walks. We'll be back !!!!

Koru Cottage is absolutely beautiful!! Its a lovely warm bach with awesome indoor/outdoor flow with plenty of deck and outdoor space for entertaining. It has been beautifully designed with huge sliding doors and a wall that slides right open to a lovely BBQ area. The outdoor bathroom is awesome too! Our kids had a ball here and we loved walking over the bridge up to the house. The view down to Medlands beach through the native plants is great and you can easily spend hours on the deck relaxing. We will be back to stay again. Highly recommended!!
