About this Holiday House

Enjoy some old world charm in our Unique Victorian Manor. Located in Merivale one of Christchurch's old and prestigious areas. It is home to some great shops & restaurants & is within easy walking distance to Hagley Park, Victoria St or the Casino. Huge sunny living area with heat pump. The rooms are spacious with beautiful ornate original plaster ceilings. The bedroom has a Four Poster Bed! 50 inch Flat Screen TV with MY SKY, Movies, etc. Unlimited FREE WI FI is available. This large unit is fully self contained with a full kitchen and ensuite bathroom. There is an outside garden area with outdoor furniture for the Summer months. This unit comprises half the entire downstairs of the Manor. Parking is available adjacent to the front entrance. A unique opportunity to experience one of Christchurch's remaining historic homes.

This apartment was so unsuitable for us we were unable to stay there. Outside the entrance there were stained seat covers and cigarette butts. Upon entering the apartment, there were stained carpets, spider webs, filthy windows and a thick layer of dust. The smell was indescribable. The bathroom had no power outlet and was uninviting. On top of all that the apartment felt creepy and unsafe. We left after 10 minutes and booked elsewhere.

We stayed for 3 nights, and thought it was fantastic. Quiet and peaceful, nice big rooms. Extremely comfortable bed, very warm with the heat pump and electric blankets. It was a lot bigger than I imagined from the photos. We were very pleased :) Would definitly stay again if we're in the area

Had a great couple of days in Springfield manor, would loved to have stayed longer. What a beautiful old building. Thank you for a lovely stay and for putting the heat pump on for our arrival. Would definitely stay again when back in Christchurch. Lots of room to spread out and the bed was very comfortable. The Wifi was a bit of a hit and miss, sometimes it worked and then would disconnect you but everything else was great.
