This is truly "Classic Kiwiana Holidaying at its best!" This Beach Bach takes us back to basics and has a slightly 1960s feel. If you want something different this might be the place for you! The Beach Bach consists of 4 sleep outs, separate building with lounge, kitchen and bathroom facilities including flushing toilets. There is also a fabulous deck that overlooks 90 mile beach which has a covered BBQ, outdoor table and chairs set and a hammock chair. There is an outdoor kitchen and large table area plus another shower and toilet area. Each sleepout has a different bedding configuration. Sleepout 1 has three single beds. Sleepout 2 has three single beds. Sleepout 3 has one set of bunks and a single bed. Sleepout 4 has a queen size bed. The Beach Bach has been designed to appreciate the simple things in life. There is no TV, telephone or internet. However there is plenty to do during the day with walking, swimming, surfing and fishing to name a few. The Beach Bach although very basic does have a few mod cons that run on alternative power. There is solar power to run the lights in the lounge and each sleepout. Plus there is a gas califont to heat the water and a gas fridge freezer. If you do need a power point from time to time to say charge your mobile. There is a small generator. But hey you may just want to run that phone flat. What a great excuse to get out of work or the kids off devices…Haha In case there's any washing that needs to be done there isn't a washing machine and will need to be done by hand. However, why not try out the concrete tub (Which Im sure would be a unique experience for most) The Beach Bach is located around the rocks at Shipwreck Bay right beside reknown surf break "Peaks" Its definitely a unique experience as you cross rocks at low tide and require a 4x4 vehicle to get here. Please be aware that as this property is tidal you can only arrive and depart 2 hours either side if the high tide. However the trip is definitely worth it. All the stresses of day to day life will fade away when you immerse yourself in this beautiful natural environment and appreciate the simple things in life. So if you need to get away from it all this could be the place for you! As this is very special and unique place we ask all people who stay to be very respectful and leave the property in the condition in which you found it. This includes cleaning and tidying upon departure.
