About this Holiday House

Prime location, modest, quite modern, fresh and easy clean. Absolute beach front treat. Ideal for romantic getaway for one couple but will accommodate 3/4 maximum but not preferred. Lie in bed and look straight out to sea, gaze at the beautiful Tata islands and distant mountains framed with Pohutakawa trees. The golden sandy beach and beautiful blue sea is literally only a few steps away. This is the gateway to the famous Abel Tasman National Park with its wonderful walks, recreational fishing and water sports with a seaside golf course nearby. There are many little galleries and places of cultural and historic fascination located nearby to visit. This quite stylish modest little holiday unit is well serviced and only 6 minutes from excellent cafes and restaurants. Your comfort and relaxation is assured. You will not be disappointed with your choice - right on the beach! All water comes off the roof, is filtered and stored in tanks. **PLEASE NOTE ADDITIONAL RATES RE CLEANING, LAUNDRY, WATER AND EXTRA GUESTS OVER TWO IN COMMENTS BELOW. Wonderful water sports in the summer, petanque court on site, gorgeous golden sandy beach. Beautiful beach and bushwalks, Tata treat has absolute beach frontage, access to canoe hire, 6 mins to excellent supply shop, cafes and restaurants, good fishing, golf course, Takaka township only approx. 15 mins away with entertainment, many shops cafes and restaurants, bicycle hire etc . Small but perfectly formed! My husband, daughter, and I spent the most incredible week here. It is literally steps from the beach and we enjoyed every minute of it - the golden sand, safe swimming and amazing weather. The host is very accommodating and responsive to queries. The three of us found the space worked really well and we used the BBQ all the time. Our six year old loved the holiday so much she convinced us to book again the day we got home! Can’t wait for next year.

Very small, lacks privacy, is noisy and really needs updating. It is part of an old set of motel units and has paper thin walls to the adjoining unit. You can hear all the conversations and movements of the adjoining unit so be prepared to get little sleep until after midnight.. The oven is old , very small and does not heat up. There is one top element which.is full heat or nothing. The shower is 60s style and needs redoing. . At best the place accommodates two people. It is not good value at $800 plus for 3 nights, when compare it to the other places next door or close by. Yes it is right on the beach. But not much else to recommend it.

Unfortunately this comment I believe comes from someone who was very critical from the start and doesn’t appreciate the traditional Kiwi bach experience. The notes on the website describe the property as modest best for two people. Many guests staying love it but this person/s sadly didn’t.
