We were met by Susan who was so warm and welcoming, one of the reasons why we keep coming back to Rarotonga because of its local hospitality. She had also given us delicious freshly picked tropical fruits which went down a treat on our first day! The owner John met us the next day and he was ever so friendly and made sure we have what we needed. The house is utterly amazing, the pictures on the website just does not do any justice it is even magical in person. The setting was right next to Muri lagoon with the view of marine reserves. The pool was exactly right, and we certainly used it when it rained for 3 days straight, weather did not spoil the fun for us at all! The house is clean and have all the amenities you need; it was a home away from home feeling. The upstairs bedrooms are open plan so if you are a snorer, please be nice and supply earplugs for your fellow housemates lol. I absolutely love the fact that each bedrooms have their own ensuites and downstairs have a separate toilet. The beds are comfortable and facing the lagoon which was such a treat when waking up in the morning, definitely appreciated by my fussy partner! The house is less than 5 mins walk to a local store and another further 5 mins to a larger local store. Rarotonga is definitely expensive these days for basics and treats but I am happy to report if you love seafood, it is still the best, I will highly recommend Ocean Fresh any day however they only trade by cash only, so you’ll need to be prepared when you get there. If you are familiar with Rarotonga this house is literally minutes’ walk to Muri Beach Club and Pacific Resort you have the option to walk along the beach or road completely up to you. We absolutely love this house that we are about to decide our dates for next year! Thank you, Susan, Joy and John, for your hospitality, our family can't wait to come back.
