Whether you are after rest or recreation, Black Forest Station Accommodation, Lake Benmore is a fantastic holiday destination for families/couples/groups/team building/honey moons!! Situated just a 40 minute (63 km) drive from Lake Tekapo with six fully self contained houses situated near the lake edge (sleeps- 4x 12, 2x 18), as well as Shearer's Quarters (sleeps 15) and a smaller cottage (sleeps 6), million dollar panoramic views of Mount Cook and the Southern Alps, our accommodation provides the key to a recreational paradise. Boating (2 concrete boat ramps), water skiing, swimming, Kayaks (2 at each property), fishing, walking and mountain biking are very popular activities. Nearby Lake Tekapo offers numerous restaurants, an ice/rollerskating rink/snow tubing/hot pools/day spa and the areas skifields are also in close proximity. Whether you love the great outdoors or enjoy the tranquillity of some of New Zealand's finest landscape, Black Forest is the ideal holiday destination for you! The CALENDAR with the new season's booking availability will be updated each June and many customer's roll their bookings over annually. We had the best time at Black Forest Station. Friendly, helpful hosts, great accommodation and facilities. We had 4 families staying in Boundary House and it was perfect!

We loved our stay in the Black house and your facilities are all first class, the two kayaks you left for us were just perfect for our two younger grandchildren 4&5yrs, by day 3 they were Into it and off, considering on afternoon of day one, we had trouble getting them into the water let alone the kayak,,, but we were all surprised yesterday afternoon when they organised Themselves into life jackets and the wee kayaks, we all sat in disbelief, 😊 The London family just loved it and return home next week with lots of exciting stories and pictures of the few days we all had together, and cousins meeting for the first time. Thank you Black Forest for making it all so possible. We will see you next year.

Hired 2 houses for our group of 15. The houses are modern clean and well equipped. We had such an awesome time with plenty of fishing to boot.Such a fabulous spot for our yearly get together that we have already booked again. Thank you Caroline and Ben for yr wonderful hospitality.
