My partner and I stayed here last winter for 2 glorious weeks at the Guest House. It may sound a long time in one spot over a winter but when our time was up we didn't want to leave. The quality of this home it 100% quality and you can see it everywhere you look, it is built to the highest standard and captures its environment like no other. It is set high on a hill to take advantage of the spectacular views and I mean spectacular. We are foodies and love to cook our own food when we go away and we also like a remote area and this gave us both. BUT in saying that we were only about 10 minutes away from a wonderful village that has all the supplies you could need. The kitchen is very well equipped and cooking here is not a chore its an absolute pleasure as they views from the kitchen are breathtaking. My partner loves fishing and he was in his element being able to catch huge snappers off the rocks down at the private beach. We are both avid rugby watchers so having SkyTV and an open fire were in heaven. There are amazing walks you can do from this property that also take in the amazing coastline. The Lodge has 3 huge bedrooms and it is large enough for a large family or two or three couples to have their own space. We were there in Winter so down hesitate to book over the winter or cooler months. I can only imagine how amazing it would be in the summer! Everything is there for summer activities. The hosts live on the property which is an added bonus and are there if you need them but are discreet that you wouldn't know there are there at all. It's a must stay if you are an overseas tourist visiting the North island and NZ'ers do yourself a favour and go for a holiday there, even if all you can manage is a weekend, it's paradise!
