This is a great holiday home and it would be fantastic for large groups in the summer time, however the downstairs bedrooms were freezing cold and the heating could not keep up with the cold temperatures that we had during our stay. Perhaps the owners could turn some heating on 24 hours before a booking when it is going to be that cold? Upstairs was great, warm and heaps of space for our large group.
Response from Owner
Hi there. Yes it was a very cold weekend, with hard frosts and snow to low levels. There are electric blankets on some of the beds as well as oil column heaters and a fan heater that you could have moved downstairs if needed. The heaters in the downstairs bedrooms are wall heaters on thermostats which are able to be on a set temperture. There are also heaps of spare duvets in the cupboards. We don't live locally so turning on the heating 24 hours before guests is not possible sorry.

Always such a great house to stay at - we come to Hanmer to train every year and this house keeps the group together with everything needed. Perfect for larger groups with split levels to even out the group- fire keeps upstairs toasty and warm, with heaters for down stairs. Every you need is here and short walk to town with fairy garden about 300m away. Always such an honor to be able to stay here for the training group and we thank you guys again for allowing us :)
Response from Owner
Thanks for your lovely comment Rozie. Its lovely having you stay at our holiday house each year for your training camp.
