I scored it the lowest because I could not even stay in that house. I booked the house on Feb 26 for one night on March 8. The owner Steve did not send me anything to confirm the reservation. I sent an email inquire to him on March 7 but did not hear anything back. I therefore believe that my reservation did not go through. I booked another hotel room for March 8. On March 8 at 9:24am, I received the first email from him, saying "Thanks for getting in touch I usually get in touch around now the address is 41 Victoria ross south, Waiheke island. Attached is a photo sowing where t he lock box is and it code. I wont be there I play golf on saturday so just let your self in and make your self at home". I checked the website right away and saw that March 8 was still open for others to make reservation. He sent me another email on 11/3 indicating that others booked the same house on March 8, but could not get in. I later found out that I was charged for the rent and he refused a refund.

Dewi's place was good for an extended weekend stay. Equipped so you can cook simple meals. The main room felt spacious and light. And the shower, although small had good pressure. Bed was comfortable. The parking was interesting as we had kayaks on the car but worked out ok. The welcoming committee of several Kaka was a very pleasant surprise. Onetangi beach is a 5 min drive max....could easily be walked.
