Relax and unwind in comfort and style with stunning views that are forever changing. 500 metres to beach front. Combine this with walks along the beach, fossicking and clambering around the rocks, snorkling, surfing, kayaking, plus walking to the famous Jacks Bay Blow Hole. On dusk head out to watch the yellow eyed penquins arriving back home. Centrally located base in the heart of the Catlins Area, enabling you to further explore all what the Catlins has to offer.

10 minute drive to Owaka, to a well serviced town including a 4 Square Supermarket, Cafe's, Coffee House, Restaurant, Museum, Service Station, shops and a range of sporting facilities, 9 Hole Golf Course close by. Best estuary ever to observe wading birds is around the Lake on the way to Jacks Bay.

A perfect 1-bedroom cottage with all the necessities in an idyllic location with friendly, but not intrusive, hosts. The beach steps away, the property’s beautiful landscaping, the sunrises, the views - all spectacular. What more can a visitor ask for? We had a wonderful, peaceful four nights in Jack’s Bay. Our only regret is that we failed to book a full week.

A luxurious stay in a crib set in the most beautiful surroundings Absolutely luxurious accommodation with lovely hosts and so much attention to every detail to make you feel comfortable and spoiled. We really loved the design of the crib, the lovely garden and the house. Big thanks to Helen and Peter for their warm hospitality in the Christmas period overseas. And for the wake up call in the early morning to see the sea lion on the beach. 😊We would love to come back.

Yes, it is a unique location and one we love dearly and are very happy to expose and share with all of our guests, and visitors to Jacks Bay. Catlins Region is certainly a beautiful place to explore while basing yourselves here in Jacks Bay to achieve this, as you found out and allowing 4-5 days minimum to achieve this.

The problem about writing and letting people know how great this place is, that it may be booked when we want to go again. Lovely place with everything you could need in a fantastic location. Central to travel & see more of the Caitlins. Lovely home baking on arrival as a treat. Helen & Peter providing great information & being there if you needed anything. x2 amazing sunrises.
