Watch the stunning sunrise from the ocean horizon at the comfort of the lounge & dining area. Wake up to the spectacular sunrise between 7 to 8.20am from March to early September. Observe the spectacular full moon as it majestically rises from the ocean horizon with sparkling reflection on the ocean waters during summer. Relax and get a tan in the sunny enclosed conservatory, even on sunny but cold windy days. Or simply soak & relax in our indoor spa room, even when the weather turns bad. This modern very sunny double storey 5 bedroom house plus spa room plus conservatory is strategically located in the highly sought after popular suburb of Mornington. Less than 5-minute drive away are amazing amenities like Countdown supermarket, cafes, restaurants, bakery, sports bar, takeaways, pharmacy, ATMs, medical centre, Night 'N Day dairy, etc. Less than 5km away are the University of Otago, Dunedin hospital, Octagon, Dunedin Railway Station, Speights Brewery, St Clair beach esplanade, shopping centres, & Forsyth Barr stadium is about 5.6km away. The "must-see" Tunnel Head Beach is also 5km or less than 10 mins drive away. The Otago Peninsular with spectacular views is just a short 15-minute drive away. Four beautiful golf courses are within 6km away from our house - Otago Golf Club, Chisholm Links Golf Club, St Clair Golf Club & Belleknowes Golf Club Inc & 3 of which are beautiful championship golf courses with spectacular views of the ocean, beaches, Otago peninsula, hills of Mt Cargill, etc. This modern homes has 6 heatpumps (one in every room) to keep you warm and toasty. There are 3 bedrooms with queen bed each, the 4th bedroom has a double bunk & another queen bed (sleep 4), the 5th bedroom has 2 single beds, one double sofa bed in the lounge and another single sofa bed in one of the bedrooms. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with attached toilet. There is another common bathroom and a total of 3 toilets to cater for the morning "rush hours"; ideal for big groups. With 5 bedrooms, the house is suitable for companies with executives having their own bedroom. The average house in Dunedin has a hot water capacity of about 180-210 litres (just enough for abt 4 people), as such, we added an extra high pressure hot water cylinder (a total of 500L) recently to cater to the needs of a bigger group. The double glazed conservatory at the second level is an all-time favourite among our guests. It's sunny and warm with amazing unblock views of the ocean horizon and the hills out in the Otago peninsula. Important to note that there is an open staircase to the second level. It is not suitable for young children (or they must have adult supervision at all times). This is our home for many years and we have been improving the house over the years, adding new double glazed windows to the bedrooms and the new indoor spa room downstairs. We sincerely hope you enjoy staying at our house. Our holiday home is in a quiet neighbourhood. Our neighbours are retirees, working professionals and families with very young children. They require a quiet place to rest, even on weekends. As such, this holiday home is not suitable for you if you're looking for a place to hold noisy party or with loud music or singing late into the night.
