It is down a long driveway so has lots of privacy while still retaining a corridor view of the turquoise blue waters of Lake Tekapo from the sunny garden. The living area is spacious and joins the open plan kitchen/dining with a log fire and heat pump. The kitchen is very well equipped with all you need to prepare your own meals and a dishwasher to help the clean up. There are two comfortable queen bedrooms, and books or TV to while away any spare time. A short walk out the driveway brings you to the lakefront, with panoramic views of Lake Tekapo and the surrounding mountains. Wander the lakefront walking track for a few minutes to reach the Church of the Good Shepherd and sheepdog memorial, then over the Tekapo footbridge (perfect location for photos!) to the village centre eateries & shops. By prior agreement Beech Cottage also welcomes well-behaved dogs, so your whole family can enjoy the break (not fenced). Tekapo’s dog park is within walking distance, ideal for your morning walk before going out and exploring for the day. A small fee applies and owners are expected to follow a few simple rules.
