Beautifully well presented and comfortable home. Fantastic location for trout fishing or taking in the sights of neighbouring towns. Great communication from owners and we were made to feel very welcome. Will come back again and highly recommend to others.

Even better than we expected, having always wanted to stay here. Perfect location and full of timeless precious kiwi character, all at great value. Unlike many other kiwi baches Waimarama fishing lodge really is well appointed and beautifully clean and maintained. This feels like a precious and well loved haven. The lodge was warm, dry, and we are looking forward to returning in winter to further enjoy the fireplace in the cozy lounge room. We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen and loved the spectacularly large dining table which really just has to be seen. The library is very peaceful and would be a great place to sit and write your own book. The little garden at the back is pretty and our kids loved playing there. The beds were very comfortable and the linen lovely. I appreciated the comfy wingback chair in the room where our baby slept. We loved the great waterfall like shower in the ensuite bathroom, and the kids loved the bath. We had a wonderful 4 nights here at Easter with our young baby and 5 year old. While juggling the time demands of a young family we loved the ease of being able to walk out the front door and be at the best fly fishing pool or explore the the river trails running and biking in the bush. We can't wait to come back again.
