Fully equipped - Private expansive - Sunny Bed linen provided as well as towels and much more The beach is an easy 4 minute walk to the golden sands of Tata Beach The garden and grounds are relaxing with native bush surroundings. We have an outdoor eating area and the front veranda is pleasant for relaxing as a lounge extension. Nearby Pohara has a couple of eateries and a dairy. Takaka township has a range of shops and interesting cafes. Takaka is about 15 minutes by car. This holiday house is available to NON SMOKERS ONLY. Our home has good off street parking with room for a few cars and boat. Many native NZ birds can be seen in the surrounding bush and there is a relaxing outdoor area with garden furniture. BOATING For visitors bringing their boat, there are excellent launching facilities at Tarakohe, just a few minutes drive from our house. Tarakohe has a first class launching ramp, wash down facility and breakwater. Tata beach does have a boat ramp. But we strongly suggest using Tarakohe as the preferred and safer ramp for both launching and retrieving your boat. Because if the wind and wave action increases, recovery on the Tata ramp is difficult. Other boat ramps are in Golden Bay. We can help and advise.
