Laundry facilities are located at Claris adjacent to the general store. Great Barrier Island has been designated as one of 4 Dark Sky Sanctuary's in the world. Check in 2pm Check out 10am Rates: A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. Full payment is due 28 days before arrival. If you cancel your reservation 28 days before arrival, 50% of your payment will be charged. If you cancel your reservation within 14 days before arrival 100% of your payment will be charged. No shows are also charged 100% of the payment. Peak season 26 Dec to 6 February requires full payment by 1 November. Should you cancel after this date we can only refund if we are able to re-book the property. This is mainly due to the short notice as it gets near impossible for other guests to make travel bookings to and from the Island from then on.
