Korimako Cottage is a cute old fashioned bach that is perfect for a few days away. It is a private gem of a cottage, located near the public tennis courts at Gore Bay. The cottage has a sheltered deck at the front door, kitchen, living room, main bedroom (queen bed), two single bedrooms, and bathroom. It is fully furnished and has a barbecue for your summer meals. There's a garage for your surf gear, beach gear, bikes or golf clubs. Bring your tennis racquets as the public tennis courts are right next door. You can enjoy easy direct beach access across the grass reserve in front of the bach. Keep your eyes open for Hector's dolphins swimming just beyond the waves. A TV, DVD and board games will help relax you if you're not playing sports, out on the beach, out for a bike ride/walk, or just enjoying the sunshine on the deck. While on the deck the keruru and korimako (bell birds) in the garden will keep you company while you enjoy a cup of tea or something stronger. The gentle sound of the waves will ensure a very sound night’s sleep during your stay. There is an open fire in the living room but it's not available for use unfortunately. No dogs or other pets. (Please don't bother asking as the answer will always be a very firm "no"). And for all guests' comfort, smoking isn't permitted anywhere at the cottage either inside or outside. The maximum number of guests is four including children of any age, and there is a minimum two night stay. Guests will need to clean the cottage before they leave and take all their rubbish & recycling with them, as there is no cleaner for the cottage. This is not a house for parties or groups of teenagers – the owners are right next door. Payment and cancellation policy: 50% of the rental paid at time of booking in order to confirm booking, the balance is due by the day before the arrival date, a refund of the deposit will be made if the booking is cancelled seven days before the arrival date, otherwise no refund is available. There's a minimum stay of three nights on long holiday weekends and four nights over Easter. The cottage isn't available between 23 December and 2 January.
