It is just one hour's drive to Cape Reinga from here on SH1 which is completely sealed and quite an easy drive. If you are lucky enough to be there at sunset or sunrise you will be absolutely blown away. The far north beaches are all magnificent although we don't recommend that you swim on 90 Mile. Its stunning to visit however and have a paddle or collect some Tuatua for your dinner. Henderson Bay and Rarawa are our local swimming beaches and we're happy to lend you our boogie boards. Beach towels are provided. Houhora Heads is not so great for swimming unless the tide is in but it's a beautiful place for a picnic.
