This apartment is located in the historical Maori village of Ohinemutu, this very special place has been continuously occupied for the last 650 years. You are surrounded by Rotorua's Maori cultural heritage and also the geothermal activity that the area is famous for. All of this and also within a stone's throw of the centre of town and all the adventure activity that the region has to offer. Within the village and various historical Maori marae & meeting houses, one of which recently hosted ( November’18) the Duke & Duchess of Sussex in their visit to Rotorua. There is also a historic church, Saint Faiths, that was established in 1885, you are welcome to visit this church to look at the fine Maori carvings within or attend a church service that are on Sunday mornings at 9 am. The village also has an excellent cafe ( Third Place) that overlooks the village, a bar ( The Lake House) and an excellent bakery called Patricks that turns out beautiful pastries both savoury and sweet that are all made on the premises. All of these are a five minute walk from the apartment.
