The boathouse is not what is advertised at all it is half of the “boat house” complete with a sliding door to their at home office this however can be locked on one side only the office side so realistically they have access to your bedroom the entire time . When we arrived they had their kids hanging out in the studio / office it was loud not relaxing or serenity at any point. They also neglect to tell you that your private courtyard has the trampoline out the front of it also. The worst part for us was that they run a dog grooming business and on a Saturday morning had constant clients and dogs arriving . It wasn’t peaceful , we tried to stay away as much as possible and only really slept there due to this.
We paid $225 a night and honestly it was dirty there was mould in the bathroom and shower and dust everywhere and it just was not worth the money . We tried to talk to the owners a few times during our stay ( friendly hellos) and they just ignored us and went about their day. It honestly felt like we were an inconvenience being their at all . Definitely not recommended unless you want chaos , dogs barking and no privacy not a romantic escape or private holiday .
