About this Holiday House
Relax, unwind and enjoy a slower pace of life with an escape to beautiful Tui Ridge Homestay set in the picturesque Matahuru Valley North Waikato.
Located in the rural settlement of Waiterimu just over an hours drive from Auckland, our unique farm stay experience gives you the opportunity to put your feet up and unplug from daily life. Curl up on the couch and read a book in front of a roaring fire, or enjoy a cup of tea on the deck you might even spot a friendly Tui or Wood Pigeon swooping by.
The space
Located in the heart of a working sheep and beef farm, this original farm cottage is nestled amongst stands of native bush. Private, secluded and inviting, our rustic cottage has been lovingly restored to ensure you enjoy all the comforts of home, while experiencing the best country life has to offer.
Light, sunny and warm, the cottage retains all its original features, with stunning views of native bush, mature trees, and rolling farmland at every turn.
The property offers spacious accommodation for up to 10 guests across its four bedrooms.
Bedroom 1 - 1 x Queen Bed (2 guests)
Bedroom 2 - 1 x Queen Bed plus 1 x Single (3 guests)
Bedroom 3 - 3 x singles (3 guests)
Bedroom 4 - Bunk Bed (double bottom and single top (2 guests)
Even in the middle of winter you’ll be warm and cosy with a fire (fully stocked firewood supply included) and heat transfer system in every bedroom.
Full kitchen and laundry facilities are available, and pantry staples are included as part of your stay. A BBQ is also provided.
Or, if you wish to take a break from cooking too, order one of our hearty breakfasts, dinner or a delicious grazing platter.
All linen and towels are supplied throughout your stay, and you’ll be toasty at night with our 100% wool duvets (we are sheep farmers after all!)
Being a working farm and to protect our livestock, no pets are allowed.
