This is a quiet neighborhood where everyone is friendly and cares whilst protecting their own privacy in a very pleasant way. There are numerous information panels along the board walks and hiking tracks explaining the history of the area and telling you about the numerous bird colonies in the area. The hot pools which are also within walking distance are very therapeutic. The entrance to Omokoroa has its own security cameras. Public boat ramp & Jetty approx 300 m down the road. Good inner harbour fishing and access to open ocean (Mount Maunganui). There is also a local gym in the area. There are beach seats available for guests to take over to the waters edge.
