Medlands Surf Cabin is positioned at the centre of the Medlands Beach, tucked behind Memory Rock and the sand dunes. This island sanctuary provides peace and quite or a place to gather with family and friends in the private tropical garden set behind the cabin or alfresco living on the verandah. The cabin is less than 10 minutes from Claris (cafe, general store, The Rocks bottle store, Pharmacy, petrol station, laundromat) and the airport. On your door step is a grass lined trail leading to Memory Rock, the mermaid pool which is popular with children and the much talked about unpopulated white sands of Medlands Beach. The cabin consists of an open plan living area, fully functioning kitchen (fridge/freezer, well stocked pantry with all the basics, gas hobbs and oven, stove top Bialetti espresso pot & soda stream), dining & living with a cosy open fire. Decks are on both the beach side of the cabin, and the sheltered western side which captures the afternoon sun. The beach side deck features an open fireplace, a spacious casual seating area and large outdoor dinning table; while the rear deck which has views up to the hinterland is a sheltered outdoor area ideal for dining or entertaining in the afternoon. The main bedroom is positioned alongside the open fire and can be closed away with bifold shutters creating a private area. The indoor bathroom (shower and toilet) separate the main bedroom from the 4 bed bunk room. The outdoor shower can be enjoyed during the day, or shower in the evening under the stars of our dark sky sanctuary. Both a filleting station and smoke house are available for the catch of the day. Due the limits of the solar power system we can not offer a dishwasher, toaster, hair dryer or toasted sandwich machine etc. Supplied are board games, cards, pétanque, books for reading, cooking etc. Quality linen and bath towels are supplied just bring your beach towel.
