We have a consent for functions such as weddings to be held at this property. If you are interested in horse riding please contact us about potentially using our equestrian facilities during your stay. We have a stable, tack shed, arena, paddocks and farm tracks that may be available for your use at additional cost.

The house is located on a private working farm with cows, sheep, dogs and horses in nearby paddocks or surrounds. There are opportunities to walk around the farm with prior approval to ensure health and safety considerations are clear. The property is located in Pohara and is 15 minutes walk away from the Pohara store, Molly B’s cafe & bar, Ratanui lodge, Aroha Health Spa, Top 10 Holiday Park and beach. The Pohara store has e-bikes for rental as well as grocery items and a fish&chip shop. Molly B’s has lots of outdoor seating, a trampoline, pool table and live music during summer. Ratanui lodge provides accommodation as well as a restaurant and lounge bar for breakfast and dinner. Aroha Health Spa offers massage, bodywork treatments, holistic therapies, an infrared sauna and spa pool. Approximately 5 minutes drive there is the Takaka Golf Club which offers a nine-hole links golf course, with a full 18 hole layout, built from coastal dunes. There are many outdoor recreation opportunities nearby including a gravel cycleway from Pohara all the way into the Takaka township, mountain biking trails, rock climbing, bush walks, beach walks, Wainui falls, Rawhiti caves etc. Pohara is a friendly and peaceful suburb but has a great festive vibe in December and January when our peak number of visitors arrive.
