Please be aware that this property may not be suitable for very small children if they are not under constant supervision when outside.
We have endeavoured to make the property as safe as possible and well behaved guests will not be exposed to any undue risks. Our own children and their friends all survived the experience.
It is a great place for kids, adults and pets. The property backs onto virgin native bush which can also be explored.

Accommodation is modern, clean and comfortable. We have normal good standards of decor, cleanliness and tidiness. However, if you are insistent upon matching doylies, pristine white linen and brand new everything then we suggest reconsidering.
If you prioritise space, freedom, nature and a relaxing, low-stress holiday experience for family and whanau then we are on the same page.
Boundaries
Please stay within the house and garden area. Guests may walk around the farm but please stay out of paddocks with cattle and horses as they are not safe to be with. Please ensure children and pets are supervised.
The hayshed, tackrooms, workshop, garage and yard areas are strictly out of bounds.
The skateramp may be used with prior permission. Again, only under adult supervision.
The sauna and outdoor bath are both wood-fired and may be available subject to prior arrangement. Neither suitable for unsupervised young persons.
Firewood is stored in the woodshed.
Water
Our fabulous water supply is from the St Arnaud range on the opposite side of the State Highway. It is filtered and treated by a UV lamp.
Guests may occasionally experience low or fluctuating water pressure in showers if other services/taps/cisterns/troughs/showers/hoses are operated at the same time. The family usually let each other know if they are taking a shower and thus avoid undue annoyance.
If the water pressure/flow rate is consistently low please inform the manager. Please do not attempt to fix it yourselves.
Helicopters
Children are allowed to play on the helicopters. Please ensure however that they are careful and respectful of these delicate machines. Also be aware that there are sharp edges, heights, rotating machinery and other hazards associated with aircraft and supervise children accordingly.
Books
Feel free to browse our books and magazines. They are not to be removed from the property however.
Television/Monitor
Available for guest use. Connect to your device via HDMI cable (supplied).
Wifi
No Wifi. We access the internet via the Cellphone network. There is excellent reception at the property.
Linen
We can supply pillows and quilts for up to 11 guests. These are not brand new.
Guests are expected to provide their own linen. We can supply and launder if required at an extra charge of $20 per person per set of bedsheets, pillowslip and towel.
Pets
Pets are welcome but must be under control and not harass the cats or farm animals. We often have young chicks which are very cute, but very vulnerable to playful dogs, and children.
Rubbish
We separate compostables/pig scraps, recycling and normal rubbish. Yellow and Blue bins for recycling. Non-meat food scraps and compostables can be fed to the pigs. Tasman District Council bags for landfill rubbish can be purchased locally. Otherwise please take with you.
Cleaning
Please clean when vacating. A cleaning service is available but only upon prior arrangement and will occur an additional charge of $150.
Vacuum cleaner, mops and cloths are provided.
We expect the property to be ready for the next guests when you depart. Thank you. Enjoy your stay and come back soon!
We're quite new to this agency but have been providing accommodation at this location for many years. Below are some comments from NZMCA guests;
Cameron
Basically parking in a paddock but what a paddock!! Amazing views down to Lake Rotoiti and mountain ranges beyond - just stunning! Great text communication with owner and box by gate if you wish to make donation towards animal care. Safe and private. We even left our caravan here overnight with no probs while we tramped.
Donna
Great stay, thanks very much. Amazing night sky. Helpful directions text to us after phoning Richard. No cost but donation invited to a good cause, was happy to contribute.
Stan
Wow! We are blown away that we get to stay here… There is plenty of room, we found a flat spot, put out the clothes line and am now soaking up the amazing views and beautiful bird song…. Can’t thank you enough Richard and Charlotte
