Very quiet and pleasant stay. The house is a reasonable walk away from the beach down a road without footpaths, so we ended up driving, which we prefer not to do on holiday. However, the bush and sea outlook is lovely, there are nice big sliding doors to decks and we found it a very restful place to stay. Good shower in a sparkling clean bathroom. The property was large and spacious, and immaculately clean. Linen was provided, but I would bring some larger bath towels, a dish cloth and a few decent tea towels next time, and felt that for the cost it could have done with a bit more in the kitchen, There were only tiny mugs, the bare minimum of plates, no wine glasses, a peculiar hard-to-handle glass chopping board, minimal cutlery, no coffee press or tea pot. All these things could have been got from K-Mart or op shops for way less than the cost of a night's stay, and would have really improved the experience. The beach itself is absolutely lovely and we will be back.

This 2 bedroom unit was brilliant for our group of 2 adults and 2 teens, with fantastic communication with the owner plus lovely neighbours and even a kennel for our dog who lived her best life during our stay. I did spend time at night spraying numerous small wasp nests around the property as they were problematic - a sad reality in Northland and no reflection on the owners. We loved the bush and birdsong, and appreciated the upgraded bathroom. If air-con was ever an option this would be a recommendation as we had very high temperatures, however the fans made it bearable and we felt safe to have doors/windows open all night. More cutlery/crockery/platters/bowls would also be helpful. Also VERY appreciative of the owner promptly sending a device left behind by a teen. Overall a wonderful setting and getaway.
