When we picked this place for our getaway, we thought we might not have enough room - boy were we wrong! With four couples there was still room to swing a cat, if not several cats. Especially the room downstairs which is HUGE. Big living room and ample kitchen. Absolutely loved the deck - came back from a day mountain biking and on the Huka jet then had drinks on the deck then dinner outside, overlooking the lake and the mountain in the distance. No kids in sight, basically heaven after the school holidays and just what we needed. Lots of room to fit our mountain bikes securely inside and off street parking too. Good upmarket neighbourhood so no concerns for security, lovely and quiet. Short stroll to the lake. Very happy - we will be back for sure. Thanks so much!

Absolutely love love LOVE this place! We had a couple of family days based in Taupo with another family and kids. So much room to fit everyone in - just fantastic. The kids loved the rumpus room downstairs while the adults got time out upstairs. The views are to die for - look out the kitchen window to Mount Tauhara, then out to the twinkling lights of Taupo and across the lake, which was glassy and beautiful. The deck is perfect for before-dinner drinks, and plenty of room for everyone to hang out in the living room. The coffee machine was a bonus too! The kitchen has everything we needed to get big meals done, and we appreciated the big TV to keep kids entertained. Heaps of parking. The staircase in the entrance feels very nostalgic too. We will be back for sure! This is now one of our all-time favourite spots.
