Easily accessible are lots of different beaches and points of interest to see, including woodlands and several Regional Parks. Art galleries, cafes, museums, even a cinema, and Sheep World, are all within a short drive. World famous places like the Sculptureum and Brick Bay winery and Sculpture Park and the Matakana Markets and wine region are all here as well as water sports. Goat Island Marine Reserve is great for snorkelling and there are boat trips to Kawau Island and down the rivers from Matakana and the Jane Gifford classic boat on Warkworth wharf. A few minutes drive away there is a pharmacy, doctors, dentist, bakers, grocery stores including a new 4 Square and several take away and restaurant establishments. Further afield but for a day's outing are everything Auckland city has to offer including Galleries and the Maritime amongst other Museums, Motat, the Zoo, and Whangarei for the Hundertwasser Centre and the Kauri museum.
