This amazing sanctuary offers both breathtaking views and direct, private, foot access to the beach in just moments. The walk to the beach from the house takes less than 3 minutes going down the hill. The first 2/3 is through private bush using well-formed stairs. The final 1/3 is in public reserve land and is very clear, but more irregular. You arrive at the bottom in the corner of the beach amongst beautiful rock formations and Pohutukawa boughs. There, you easily cross the estuary, which will be from calf-deep to hip-deep depending on the tide, to reach the length of the beach. Alternatively, you can walk or drive around by road to the beach’s public car park and walk across the dune.
