A well-appointed spacious Trends Kitchen, including benchtop cookers, air fryer, Nespresso machine, water cooler, microwave and yes, a butler's pantry kitchen with separate sinks and storage. Even the new double door fridge has a very very handy icemaker, along with a separate drink’s fridge. There is a huge bath so you can soak and relax in the family bathroom. The main bedroom has a stunning ensuite. Also, in the lounge, there is a big screen TV with home theatre and basic Sky along with Netflix, Disney, Prime, for those rainy days. Westaway has everything you’ll need for a smooth luxurious break! The deck has all the outdoor furniture so you can sit and enjoy the waves and abundant birdlife, as well as a Weber BBQ for your grilling delight. A treat is watching the lightning storms out to sea and stunning sunsets from the deck! The house sits 6 metres high and was designed with space and comfort in mind. The house has all the new thermal windows and door glass and wool wall insulation for your year-round comfort. With no close neighbours, the bay is yours and beach access is off the property only 1 minute away. At night as you lay in the comfortable beds you can hear the sea as the waves gently crash on the beach. Or just cuddle up and listen to the rain on the roof. The use of canoes and high-end quality mountain bikes (Scott Contessa and Kona both with carbon fibre frames) are also available (small extra cost, please enquire). There’s lots of safe swimming around including both sea and river lagoons. The bay inside the rocks is safe to swim with a sandy bottom. Do not swim outside the bay it gets too rough. The nearby Nile River has numerous safe swimming holes. Yes, great fishing too especially surf casting. Snapper, Gurnard, Elephant fish, Crayfish, Paua, Rig. A basic workshop for bikes is in the garage below and is handy as the NZ’s newest bike track opens February this year from Westport to Charleston. They say one of the most spectacular rides in NZ today! This track joins some of the best bike tracks in New Zealand and so much choice all within a quick drive from Charleston. Charleston is only 25 minutes south of Westport a town which includes 2 supermarkets, fuel and medical as well as restaurants and cafes and some quite good retail. The house is not suitable for youngsters under 12 because of water and height hazards. No guards around the log burner or on the stairs. Sleeps 8 in beds plus fold out bed available (at no extra charge for ninth person).
