About this Holiday House

This is a spacious, luxury waterfront apartment situated in an historic Art Deco building; formally known as the T@G and more recently 'The Dome'. The apartment is centrally located within Napier's CDB, only minutes walk where you can enjoy cafes, wineries and shops. Your stay will provide you with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and Cape Kidnappers. You will have a choice of hiring a bike and enjoying the many Cycling Trails that meander along the Marine Parade and beyond. Take a winery tour or enjoy a game of golf at the world famous 'Cape Kidnappers Golf Course' The apartment is only minutes from the Masonic restaurant, the fabulous Art Deco shop and the newly built MTG (Museum, Theatre and Gallery). Walk along the Marine Parade and view the extensive array of beautiful flora. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at Ocean Spa or view the marine life at the Aquarium. There is plenty for all to see and do. The apartment has two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a King sized bed and ensuite with shower and bath, the other a Queen sized bed. The second bathroom can be accessed by all occupants and has a large shower facility. There is a separate dining area that can be used for an enjoyable meal and a separate lounge off the kitchen. The kitchen is well appointed and the laundry facilities are within this area. There are extensive views of the Pacific Ocean and Marine Parade from most rooms within the apartment. Must do: 50 metres from the start of the Cycling Trails which meander through local attractions, 10 kilometres from the Farmers Market held every Sunday where you can buy local produce, 5 minutes away from the Ocean Spa complex.

The apartment is located in an historic art deco building. Many photos have captured it's unique character. Excellent location if wanting to take part in the annual art deco week. Also, extremely well located for the Napier conference centre.

Location was really good. Being in the CBD area, quite a bit of road noise as it's an older building with single glazed sash windows, so not much sound proofing, so could clearly hear the trucks rumbling past at 6am. Lighter sleepers might want to use ear plugs. Can also hear noise from the surrounding apartments as well. Make sure to read the fine print regarding the additional charges if there are only 2 of you, but you want to use both of the bedrooms, I unfortunately missed seeing that when making the booking, so was a bit of a surprise having to pay that on the day of check in.

This was unfortunate that trucks passed early in the morning. This does not always happen along the Marine Parade but from time to time it may occur. Longer term renters have not commented on any road noise to date. The building is one of the closest to the CBD and offers great proximity to all cafes and shops that Napier has to offer. The Marine Parade walkway is directly across the road along with the i-site where renters can book tours during their stay. Hiring of bikes is also in close proximity. The website does indicate when booking that an additional charge occurs if the entire apartment is used being a two bedroom two bathroom apartment of 120 square metres-this would be standard practice. One bedroom or two bedrooms general generate two different tariffs. At the time of the booking accommodation booked in Napier was at full capacity and many owners increased their tariff, however this was not done here nor did the renters pay extra on the day. There may have been noises coming from other apartments during that particular weekend because of the nature of the event that occurred, generally this does not occur. It is very unfortunate when renters don't enjoy their stay as it is important that everyone has a good experience and that they take advantage of what Napier and it's surrounding areas have to offer.

Please indicate expected time of arrival so that I can arrange to meet you. You will be met outside the entrance of the apartment building. The entrance is via a glass door next to the Lone Star restaurant. Please try to park as close as possible to the apartment (there is a loading zone outside which can be used if not occupied), unload and then I can show you the carpark. The carpark is off Herschell Street which is a short stroll away.
