Part of a two unit complex (only one unit available to rent). A1 Abode @ Collingwood is the unit adjoining the carport. It is cosy, comfortable, clean, private and completely self-contained with a full kitchen and two double bedrooms. Full laundry at rear of complex. Collingwood is an easy 5 minute walk from A1 Abode.

A1 Abode @ Collingwood is unique as it is the only private accommodation in Collingwood that enables you to relax and enjoy the wonderful outlook over the Aorere River and Ruataniwha Inlet to Mt Burnett and views across the bay towards Farewell Spit - while also allowing you to observe closely the ever changing tidal harbour and its unique birdlife.

Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

The quiet, friendly village of Collingwood is a mere 500 metres walk or drive from the unit. There you will find a wonderful little museum, Farewell Spit Eco Tour Safaris, grocery store/postal, gift shop, tavern, MAD Cafe, children's playground, Courthouse Cafe and service station. The Collingwood beach (over 4kms long) is perfect for a leisurely & relaxing stroll, a brisk walk or even a jog. Some wonderful places to visit within a half-hour drive are: Farewell Spit, Whaririki Beach, the Gold Fields, the historic Langford's Store at Bainham on the way to the Heaphy Track. Not to be missed is a visit to the Te Waikoropupu Springs just a couple of kilometres out of Takaka on the way to Collingwood.
