We enjoyed our stay, was just as photos show & a short walk from the lake front & village. Night one was spent with 2 teens, a tween & myself, We wandered the village, enjoyed hot chips at the lodge and then wandered back to the Bach to play cards and relax by the fire. Night two was spent with just the tween & myself, we wandered around the lake, dined at the lodge, fed the eels that are down by the jetty before hanging out at the Bach together playing cards & chatting away. In the middle we hosted parents/grandparents for lunch as this was an ideal spot between Nelson & Blenheim to catch up for lunch before teen headed to Blenheim for few days. 125 main road is very much a typical old school kiwi Bach which made for a super chill couple nights away, no TV or wifi ment plenty of time to reconnect as a family. While we booked when the forecast was for snow & the ski field was going to be open (both didn't happen) we still throughly enjoyed our time in St Arnaud.

We were a bit disappointed with our stay here. The house didn't feel very clean and the bedding looked very dirty. The washing machine made the clothes very dirty. There were very few cleaning supplies in the house or instructions on what to clean or what to do with the rubbish. But on the plus side, the house was the cheapest around and the area was lovely. We enjoyed many beautiful walks in the area. The host was very friendly and personal. We enjoyed the fire on a cold day and the host was lovely and encouraged us to use it.

Stayed with parents-in-law and 2 kids Anzac weekend. Loved the real batch feel to it, spacious and comfortable. Kids had a great time exploring and went for lovely walks and bike rides. Great to have the sun streaming in during the morning. Thanks for sharing your space with our family. Looking forward to our next visit.
