Our cottage is located in a quiet and rural-setting area, only 5 minutes drive from Takaka town centre. Easy access to everywhere in Golden bay. On our 3 acres property, we have flower, vegetable & herb gardens, orchard and chickens. Native birds, such as Fantails, Tuis and Wood pigeons are flying around the property throughout the year. The cottage was built in 2000 for our family and friends, and now (from Dec 2014), we would like to share with people who love garden/rural setting. The cottage has fully equipped kitchen with microwave and fridge. Shower, toilet and washing machine in the bathroom. Sets of sofas, coffee table, dining table, free view TV, DVD player etc in the living room. One bedroom has a king bed, chair, dresser, chest and clothes hanger. Another bedroom has a double bunk bed (double bed with single bed above), desk & chair, 3-seater sofa and bedside cabinet. Pupu Springs is 5 minutes drive. Farewell Spit, Wharariki beach, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks are within an hour drive. Our closest sea access is 10 minutes walk, nearest beach (Rangihaeata and Patons Rock beaches) are only 5 minutes drive. Pohara is about 15 minutes, Ligar Bay & Tata beach is 20 minutes drive. Please note: - The cottage is located in our back yard. We need to walk in front of the cottage a few times a day to feed chickens, but we will respect your privacy during your stay. - We don't have internet/wifi for our guests as broadband is not available in our area and we rely on mobile internet which gives us only limited data.
