22 Rutherford is Hanmer Spring’s best kept secret, nestled in the popular Village Lake Estate in the central village. This sheltered, spacious and sunny holiday home has a great aspect and is walking distance to the Thermal Pools, with shops, cafes and bars at the end of the crescent. Despite this close proximity the crescent is very quiet and tranquil.

Enjoy spacious indoor living across three split levels with a double height lounge capturing all day sun from the east, north and west. Take in views of Conical Hill, snuggle up in front of the fire, watch the big screen TV, or prepare your favourite food in the fully equipped entertainer’s kitchen.
There is something for everyone at 22 Rutherford – but the pièce de résistance is the mezzanine master bedroom and luxury ensuite, with gabled ceilings and views, and a balastrade overlooking the double height lounge.
The bedroom wing has a spacious entry, glass hallway and high mono-pitch ceilings. A second bedroom is well appointed with a Queen or twin-share option. A large bunkroom has a large TV and double three-high bunks, sleeping six, for kids or teenagers to retreat to (giving adults some space). The bunk beds have comfy quality mattresses so are good for adults too.
Outdoors relax on one of two large decks. The sheltered north deck is nestled between the two wings of the house, opening with access from both the north and the bunkroom – the perfect spot for a morning coffee, afternoon siesta or for kids to play. Or enjoy afternoon sun or an evening BBQ on the western deck adjoining the living wing from the kitchen/dining area. Both decks have dining tables and chairs.
There is plenty of room to park and store the bikes or skis in a purpose built outdoor storage shed.
