Pataua South has a boat ramp and a mooring in front (if not taken by someone else). The best way to get to the beaches at Pataua North and South is on foot. There are so many places to explore locally or further afield. Whangarei Heads has endless bays and beaches, and bush walks. We leave out a brochure on these walks for you. Frogtown beach is only 10 minutes away, which is a lovely intimate beach/bay. There is plenty of marine life to either catch or view. Most people walk or bike around Pataua, but a vehicle is required if you need to go further.
