Mt Maunganui is located on a peninsula in the Bay of Plenty, there are stunning beaches to visit and great eateries, if you are up for a hike you can head up Mount Maunganui the views from the top are incredible or you could walk along the man-made bridge to Moturiki Island and check out the protected nature reserve. At the base of the mountain there are hot pools spend the day relaxing and swimming. Tauranga is not too far away with great shopping and plenty of places to enjoy a leisurely lunch. Close to the Tauranga airport you can visit the Flyers Aviation Museum a great way to while away a couple of hours, and there is a cafe and bar on site. There is so much to see and do in and around Mt Maunganui you will not be disappointed when you choose to stay here.
