The ferry-ride alone is a scenic delight, passing some of the Hauraki Gulf's most beautiful islands, Rangitoto (259mtr high inactive volcano), Motutapu, Great Barrier and Motuihe and dolphins and orca frequently visit the Hauraki Gulf. Waiheke Island is one of world's most beautiful small islands. Breath-taking scenery, beautiful beaches, vineyards, olive groves, local boutique shops, arts and crafts, exhibitions, galleries, restaurants and cafés, coastal and bush walks and bird life galore! Centrally located on Waiheke Island, Rocky Bay is peaceful and quiet with bohemian vibes and plenty of local character. This fully self-contained, stand-alone cottage has a private deck with gorgeous views across the bush to Putiki Bay and Rangitoto and Motutapu Islands, and gets sun for most of the day. The single beds in the second bedroom can be joined into a king-size on request. Fully-equipped kitchen, fridge/freezer, microwave and oven kettle, toaster, etc. Barbecue in the courtyard. Please note, the driveway is steep, so reasonable fitness is required to walk up it. There is off-street parking for 1 car. Step off the deck onto the Tawa track to Rocky Bay or Whakanewha reserve. You can swim at either beach. To Palm or Onetangi Beaches by bus takes 30-40 mins. Drive to Palm or Onetangi Beach in 8 minutes. Oneroa Village is ten minutes away by car. $65 cleaning fee applies to all bookings.
