Manorburn Cottage is in a lovely peaceful country setting right beside the rail trail only a 6km car ride to Alexandra. Enjoy a morning coffee sitting out on the lawn overlooking the orchard watching the bikers going down the trail. The Manorburn Dam is just up the hill where you can kayak or swim in the summer or enjoy ice skating and curling in the winter. Try your luck at fishing on the Dam or in the Manorburn stream also a great spot to keep young ones entertained, the stream runs alongside the property. There is T.V and DVD so movies can be watched, but the setting of this cottage keeps you well entertained, there are plenty of books and games to while away the evenings. Being 1 hour from Queenstown you are well placed to enjoy the many tourist attractions on offer there and to access the ski fields open between June and early October. Wanaka is 50mins away. Lake Dunstan offers a great playground for the keen boaties or for the jetboats the clutha river is awesome to check out. The Highlands park Motor Sport at Cromwell is 25mins. away.
