I had the pleasure of staying here, with 3 others, and I can honestly say that we did not want to leave... Such a warm welcome by Paul and Janet, we were invited in to the stylish and extremely comfortable private wing, complete with the comforts of home - and with such tasteful, elegant presentation. The Factory stands in a proud position right on the mysterious coast, a short stroll down a tussock lined track through the sand dunes, your feet are on the sand in minutes. The property oozes with romantic appeal, from the curious eyes of the free range chickens, to the lazy, contented stare of the rather large resident felines.. A sensational home cooked breakfast, complete with the suprise of a freshly caught Crayfish, was the cherry on top. We will all definately be back.

The Factory is the best of Kaikoura - Nestled under the Southern Alps and situated in a perfect spot right on the rugged Kaikoura coastline. The accommodation is very tastefully designed and you will find all sorts of interesting and exquisite furniture pieces. We were looked after very well by our hosts and it was lovely to meet the family too. We enjoyed a very yummy breakfast the next day, served in the garden – a perfect start to the day!. Highly recommended as a romantic escape or for a peaceful break away. Must do’s are sitting over at the beach at sunset or sunrise watching the memorising surf. Discovering all the elements tucked in and around the garden. Thanks for a great evening and we will drive through Kaikoura next time with a different perspective and very fond memories.
