Omarere is one of the oldest estates in Martinborough and the well-maintained homestead was originally part of the first farm of the town’s founding Martin family. It boasts some of the most diverse and established gardens in the region.

Our nearest neighbour is Margrain Vineyard and their Vineyard Café is only a minutes stroll away for brunch or a leisurely lunch. Guest review, from Kim,
"Nestled within its very own vineyard about 1km from the heart of pretty Martinborough, is Omarere, an estate property that is perfect for the larger group. We were five women from Melbourne on their first trip to New Zealand and were beyond thrilled with this beautiful property. Sitting within manicured, private gardens, the two-storey home is both stylish and comfortable with loads of bedrooms. The living spaces are tastefully decorated with cosy couches and pretty artwork. There's an in-ground swimming pool for the warmer months, loads of shady areas outside to read, enjoy a meal or chat. For a small extra fee, you can hire your own pushbike to get in and out of town or visit the plethora of local wineries in the area (wonderfully flat and easy ride...we felt like kids again). Rochelle was a wonderful host who met us at the door and took her time to show us around the property as well as share some good dining tips for us to take advantage of (highly recommend Poppies winery for their grazing plate). Overall these five Aussies had the best time in a very beautiful part of New Zealand...so much so we plan to come back again.”
