Akaroa is a historic French style village with a beautiful harbour, excellent restaurants, cafes, crafts and boutiques. Akaroa waters are home to the rarest and smallest marine dolphin. Don't miss seeing the Hector's dolphins and other special wildlife on a harbour cruise. In Flea Bay you will find the largest little penguin colony on mainland New Zealand. Fantastic local 18 Hole Golf Course. Akaroa walks vary from short hikes to all day tramps over picturesque hills. There is so much to see and do in Akaroa that you will need more than a day trip.

The upgrade from the cottage to the summer house did not suit us and the owner offered the luxury of a large villa with beautifully adorned décor. We accepted this and had a lovely time in Akaroa. Thank you Anne.

We can’t rate our stay at Seaview cottage highly enough. Our host was welcoming and friendly and the cottage was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated throughout. Great location, off street parking and close to the centre of town. It was a real treat to stay here - we will be back! Many thanks.
