About this Holiday House
Looking for a real bach experience - well this is it. If you are seeking luxury and finesse this is not for you. However if you enjoy great views in a relaxed setting you just might have found your spot. The house has good cell phone reception but: No Dishwasher, No Laundry, No Internet and No Wifi.
In true bach tradition you must clean before you leave and you will need to bring linen, towels, toilet paper etc (the house has pillows, blankets and duvets) If you are prepared for the above please contiue reading.
Uncle Gilberts bach was built in the late 1970's to capture the views and Gilbert filled it with his travel memorabillia, we have had to cull some of it over time but the essence is still there. Every room upstairs enjoys water views and with decks to the East and West you can always find the ideal outdoor spot to soak up the atmosphere.
The bach is compact but will comfortably accomodate 6 guests, more than that it will start to be a squeeze
Sleeping: Upstairs Main Bdrm - queen bed, 2nd Bdrm - bunks and single bed, Captain's cabin - fold out couch. Port-a-cot on site, extra mattresses under beds ( there is also a Dbl bed in a downstairs rm, accessed from outside)
How to find the Bach: The house is a down a R.O.W so it can be a bit tricky to find. Entrance to the ROW is between #40 (2 storey dark grey house) and the silver road barrier (looks like you are driving into #40's back yard - #50 letterbox on right of drive) we are the last house on the R.O.W
Parking: There is parking for 2-3 vehicles at the house but it will be almost impossible to get a boat down the drive (bend in the drive with high block wall), we always park the boat on the road below the house and walk up the bush track to the house, a long hose will reach for cleaning down the boat.
There is a varied selection of Books, DVD's and board games
