This is a very comfortable, modern holiday house with most conveniences. The main living area combines a full-sized kitchen, dining & lounge. While you prepare dinner in the fully equipped kitchen, the other guests can gather around the granite-topped island & join in. The kitchen has a built in oven, ceramic hob, extractor & microwave. The dishwasher & dual sink are built into the central island. The pantry has a decent supply of plates, cups & glasses etc. There's a 6 place dining table & the lounge features a large comfortable leather lounge suite. We've got a Samsung 55" smart TV & Google Chromecast. Sliding doors open out to the front & back decks. The two biggest bedrooms & the study also open to decks. The bathroom has a sliding door providing access from the master bedroom through the walk-through wardrobe. So it's almost an ensuite. The bathroom has a proper tile and glass shower. If you want to combine a bit of work with pleasure, the study has a decent sized desk. You can connect to the Internet via wireless or cable. There is also a fold-up bed if needed. While we live in Christchurch (a couple of hours drive from Kaikoura), our neighbours help us manage the rentals, do cleaning etc. So there's a reasonable chance that someone will be on-hand should there be any issues. Please note our rules: - No shoes inside - We clean after you, but we do expect you to leave the place reasonably tidy, with the dishwasher & washing machine on, and things generally where you found them - If you use the oven or BBQ, please leave them clean - You must take your rubbish with you. Kaikoura does not have a rubbish collection service, as part of rubbish minimisation initiative. You can drop your waste into the recycling centre, which you will pass as you leave Kaikoura. If you treat our place like you are staying in a friend's home (which you are!), you can't go too far wrong COVID Cancellation Policy If you are unable to stay because of a COVID lockdown, we will give a full refund.
