Seascapes, the closest house to the Pancake Rocks, is right beside the beach. Light pours in from windows all around the two-storey home, with a different view from every aspect. Look west and there’s the Tasman Sea, to the south the Pancake Rocks and to the east towering limestone cliffs. The kitchen/living room area on the upper floor is open plan. It has everything you need for whipping up a meal – oven/stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, rice cooker and fridge/freezer. It opens out on to a deck with a barbeque, the ideal spot for watching the sun set over the sea. Look carefully and you might even see the famous green flash. The living area also has a tv with Sky TV, a DVD player and DVDs. Downstairs there’s another deck at garden level. There’s access to the seaside via a garden path. Seascapes has four bedrooms. The main house has a master bedroom with queen bed and another bedroom with twin beds. Fold out beds are also available on request. The garden cottage, tucked alongside the main house, has a double room and another with two single beds which can be made up as a double. All linen and towels are supplied. Please advise beforehand of bringing extra persons to sleep in your own tent beside the Kiwi Cabin. If in any doubt please ask. Maximum of 4 extra guests in a tent which would be pitched beside the Kiwi Cabin (we'll advise you where you can pitch your tent) Please Note: If you wish bring an infant (0-3yrs) they can stay for free but you would need to bring your own cot or sleeping mat/crib and linen etc. as there is only 1 x Queen Bed in the cabin. Treescapes is a brand new two-bedroom house nestled in native bush looking out to the Tasman Sea. Situated just one kilometre south of the Punakaiki River it’s ideal for Paparoa Track bikers and trampers, road trippers, families, or small groups. The house has an open plan fully equipped kitchen and living area with a large covered deck, perfect for outdoor dining. Both bedrooms have queen beds, and one also has a wooden bunk set. All linen and towels provided. A track at the back of the house winds up through the garden to a wooden seat for sunset gazing Another short track across the road takes you through regenerating bush to the beach. There you can fossick for pounamu. Treescapes is also just up the road from the only mainland breeding colony of the taiko (Westland Petrel). The house is double-glazed and has a fire. It has a washing machine and outdoor drying racks. Free wifi.

I own a surf school and can hook you up with surf lessons, paddle boarding trips for a fee. Kayaks and bikes for hire also. We have some great surf here & stunning rivers to SUP down. Some amazing bike trails too.
