They have a large indoor floor area (45 square metres) plus large outdoor deck which overlooks the private, sandy beach. Together with the professionally-landscaped gardens, ensure privacy and a stunning environment for a relaxed vacation. Children over 12 years only. There is no capacity for an extra bed. Final cleaning is included. Having lived on the property since 1986, the hosts have excellent local knowledge. We try greet all our guests in person unless you are arriving after 10pm. We live on the property so we are available to help you if you need us. We are available 24 hours a day in an emergency but our reception is open between the hours of 9am and 6pm.

Cold water swimming will of course be possible - please let us know if you intend to swim during this time and we'll have the pool serviced prior to your arrival. >Rural area - Kina Retreat is located in a rural area with mains power, tank water & rural broadband internet. 99% of the time these services will run perfectly, but the rural nature of the property can occasionally mean that some patience & understanding is necessary. >Check-in available between 3pm and 7pm (or earlier by agreement). - One of our team will travel from Nelson (approx. 60min travel time) to provide access and a brief orientation for you. - Late arrivals after 7pm do not allow check ins to be completed within our standard operating hours and may not be possible. The two story house has two double bedrooms, each with its own private ensuite including bath tubs, and your own outdoor deck. The upper level has a large open living area with full kitchen, fire place, large outdoor decks and 360 degree views! You will also have access to walk around the native bush on the property, there are graded roads that are great for walking through the beautiful native forest. We recommend you bring food to self-cater as we are a 45 minute drive from the nearest supermarket. We will meet you on arrival and will be available on the property but you will have complete privacy at the house.
