There is good vehicle access for launching boats from the beach and plenty of trailer parking. The beach is approximately one kilometre from end to end and is very sheltered from almost all winds. No matter what the tide the beach is sandy all the to the water's edge with very little rocks or obstacles. At low tide you can also walk around the cliff edges to Tindalls Bay and beyond.
